Set in a secluded field just 10 minutes from the southern shores of Lake Burley Griffin, Tiny Freya is a delight for those seeking a respite from their busy everyday lives. It’s an off-grid eco experience with all the creature comforts you need to relax whilst surrounded by nature, and the perfect spot to base yourself while you explore the Bush Capital.<\/p>\n
Tiny Freya is cute and cosy, but surprisingly spacious. There are two lofts \u2014 one with a QS bed, the other with a single. The bathroom has a composting toilet that flushes, a shower and vanity. The kitchen has an oven, gas hot plates, microwave, fridge with freezer, toaster and coffee maker. There is gas heating, a ceiling fan, and reverse cycle air conditioning.<\/p>\n
You\u2019ll have Tiny Freya and her surrounds all to yourself\u2014 as well as the nearby paddocks and nature reserve. Kangaroos, parrots, echidnas, rabbits and wedge-tailed eagles are your neighbours here. Enjoy a coffee on the deck in the morning, and laze away the day while taking in the view of surrounding hills. In winter, curl up with a cup of tea and a good book on the banquette inside, and roast marshmallows at the fire pit under the stars.<\/p>\n
While Tiny Freya is secluded, all of Canberra’s main attractions are easily accessible within a 15-20 minute drive. The restaurants and cafes of Manuka and Kingston can be reached in 10-15 minutes, and supermarkets at Jerrabomberra or Chisholm are just 5 minutes’ drive away.<\/p>\n
